2012 Grammys RED CARPET

The best of the music industry are together in LA today for the 54th annual Grammys. Last year Lady Gaga turned up inside an egg, and this year Nicki Minaj has come dressed as Little Red Riding Hood – with an accompanying Pope lookalike.

All eyes will be on Adele, who’s predicted to be the top award winner of the night. She’s up for 6 Grammys including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. She’ll be singing at the ceremony – her first time back on the stage after vocal-cord surgery.

But it will be Whitney Houston who everyone’s talking about. The singer died on Sunday in Los Angeles, aged just 48. Grammy organisers have rearranged the night’s schedule to honor the singer whose best-known hits include “I Will Always Love You” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Jennifer Hudson will perform a medley of songs in to the late singer.

For all the red carpet looks, turn your attention here. We’ll be updating the gallery as the stars arrive, so make sure you keep checking back.

We’re galleries central at Mamamia today – we’re also posting pictures from the BAFTA Awards in London. You can see the full post here, but here’s the gallery if it’s the pics you’re interested in.

The next big awards ceremony will be The Oscars later this month; if you’ve missed any of the award season frocks so far, catch up with our Best of gallery:
