Drum roll please... The 2016 Logies nominations have been announced.

Yes, it’s that time again – the nominations for The Logies have been released for another yet another year.

And we can imagine there’s going to be a little bit of controversy among the stars of The Project, with hosts Waleed Aly and Carrie Bickmore nominated for Silver and Gold Logies, and Peter Helliar nominated for… nothing.

“It’s going to be very awkward at The Project for the next month,” Pete, who was presenting the nominations with Sylvia Jeffries, joked at the conclusion of the ceremony.

The other Gold Logie-nominated stars for 2016 are Essie Davis, Grant Denyer, Lee Lin Chin and Scott Cam.

The Silver Logie for best presenter will be fought out by Gold-Logie nominated Bickmore, Denyer, Aly and Chin alongside The Living Room‘s Amanda Keller.

In other news, The Bachelorette scored a nomination for Best Reality TV Show while The Bachelor missed out, in favour of I‘m A  Celebrity (Get Me Out Of Here), Masterchef, My Kitchen Rules and The Block. (#GirlPower)

The nominations for Best Entertainment Program were dominated by singing contests, with The Voice and X-Factor facing off against Family Feud, The Gruen Transfer and Have You Been Paying Attention.

The Best Drama category nominations included old favourite Home and Away alongside newer shows 800 Words, A Place to Call Home, House Husband and Love Child.

Congratulations to all the nominees – we can’t wait to see how the winners play out.
