British superstar Adele has only been in Australia for a few days, and she’s already proven that fame, talent and the best English accent we’ve ever heard aside, she’s just like us.
She’s a mother first, and Grammy-winning, world-dominating singer songwriter second.
After rehearsals for her highly anticipated national sold-out tour, Adele has made the decision to cut the pyrotechnics display from her upcoming shows.
The reason is refreshingly normal and relatable: her family.
Keeping it real with her crowd of 65,000 concert goers at Perth’s Domain Stadium earlier this week, the 28-year-old singer spoke of how during rehearsals, her son was hit in the eye by a piece of fireworks debris.
"We've been rehearsing here and up until last night we had fireworks for you, " she explained.
"And obviously everyone likes a fireworks display. However, my son was watching in the crowd... And a bit of debris - it wasn't big - but a bit of s**t went in his and he was very upset."
And just like that, the fireworks were gone.
But hey, when you've got Adele in the flesh belting out hits and quality banter for two hours, I think you'll survive.
And as a bonus, fans have so far been treated to T-shirts pinned with $20 notes fired into the audience, and confetti personalised by the woman herself.
Touring Australia and New Zealand until the end of March, Adele is travelling with husband, Simon Konecki and their four-year-old son, Angelo.

Id be interested to know if Adele is aware that breastfeeding mothers are being told they have to purchase a full priced ticket just so they can bring their baby and feed them.

Yes, it's all good if the baby sleeps, but if they are going to cry, will the mother REALLY take them outside?! No, they won't, because they paid to stay, so stay they will, even if it ruins the experience for everyone around them. Sometimes you just have yo either a) not go and stay with your baby or b) go and leave a bottle of expressed milk. It's pretty simple, but in this Self-entitled age, people think their own personal right to be where they want to be and do what they want to do trumps being a responsible member of an audience, or indeed, motherhood (would a baby really want to be at a blasting loud concert?! Nope! That's All About The Mumma!). I've been breastfeeding for many many years, and I don't like to express, so it just means my choices fit in around my choice to breastfeed. I deal with it, because I'm a responsible adult!
Exactly... I breastfed three babies and you either stay at home with them or express and go without. Simple. Geez. Parents need to sometimes think of other people as well, the world does not revolve around breastfeeding mums.
Why the f*ck would anyone take a baby to a concert. Even with ear muffs on a concert would damage a baby's ears.
Also why wouldn't you have to buy a full priced ticket - that is a seat someone else could have??? Even if baby won't be on a seat it is a safety & security matter!
