It appears world-renowned pop star Adele takes wedding planning duties very seriously.
So much so, she’s become ordained as a minister and married two of her best friends in a ceremony in her Los Angeles backyard.
News of the January nuptials broke yesterday, when newlywed, comedian Alan Carr, spoke on breakfast television about marrying his now-husband husband, Paul Drayton, with the blessing (quite literally) of Adele.
“She’s known me and Paul for ages, and she said, ‘I want to do your special day. Let me do everything’,” Carr told This Morning.
“So she got ordained and she married us.”
Holding back tears, Carr said Adele organised the whole day. She married the pair. She planned the wedding – even flying the couple to Las Vegas from her home in LA so they could watch Celine Dion sing. And she sung, too, after the ceremony.
“She is the kindest, most sweetest, loveliest person ever. She flew us to Vegas to see Celine Dion sing. She sang my first dance. It was the best day of my life,” Carr said.

After the news went public, the 29-year-old Hello singer adressed it herself.
“Seeing as the cat’s out of the bag,” she posted to Instagram. “I married two of my best friends in January. You know me, any excuse to dress up…”
