Comedian calls Alyssa Milano fat. He shouldn't have done that.

Alyssa Milano and Jay Mohr

So, there’s this guy called Jay Mohr. Yeah, we hadn’t heard of him either. Apparently he’s kind of a big deal in the NASCAR broadcast community.

(This is a little unfair – Mohr hosts a show on Fox Sports in the US, was on two seasons of Saturday Night Live, and plays Professor Payne in the TV series Ghost Whisperer – but we assure you that the reasoning behind our hostility will become very evident very quickly if you just read on.)

Mohr was hosting a NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series awards ceremony in Las Vegas last month. Former Charmed star and current star of things less awesome than Charmed, Alyssa Milano, was also in attendance, and was on stage during the ceremony to hand out an award.

And, that actually could have been how uneventful and totally not newsworthy that night in Vegas was, folks, if Mohr had not then given a radio interview at the event in which he said:

[Milano] was one of the presenters. … She’s very tiny, in height. It seems like she had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s—’ … I read it on her gut.

Somebody sat in the director’s chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ’.

Which is a pretty horrendous soundbite, even by our own Aussie ‘shock jock‘ standards. In case you’re wondering, Mohr is also a parent. He has two kids, one with his current wife.

The interview slowly but surely went viral. Until Milano made the decision to respond in the most dignified and perfect way we could have ever imagined:

And that, friends, is what we call being the bigger person.
