The 'world's most identical twins' want to have babies with the same man.

Anna and Lucy DeCinque are close. Really close.

So close, in fact, that the identical twin sisters share a boyfriend. Oh, and they want to both carry his babies at the same time.

The Australian women, who have claimed the title of 'world’s most identical twins' aren’t shy about their unusual lifestyle, and frankly, they really don’t care what anyone else thinks.

They even star in a TV show about it: Extreme Sisters on American network TLC.

Since 2017, and on the TV series, they have spoken about their hope to fall pregnant at the same time. 

Lucy and Anna, 38, dress alike, eat exactly the same meals, do the same workouts and have undergone the same plastic surgeries to keep their bodies, and their lives, as identical as possible.

"We do everything together. We’re never more than a few metres apart, we work [together]. We share everything," they told a UK talk show in 2016.

"When she goes to the toilet, I come with her; when she has a shower, I come with her," Anna told the New York Post.

"You name it and we do it. We're never apart. I don't think we'd function without each other. We have separation anxiety. We're bound to each other."

But perhaps the most surprising aspect of their relationship is that they share a boyfriend.

Their relationship with Ben Byrne – who is a fraternal twin himself – is not new. They've been dating for more than a decade.

"It was great from the start. We just hit it off straight away. It’s so much easier for us to share a boyfriend,"  Anna told the New York Post.

"I don't mind that he comes over to kiss Lucy, because then he's going to kiss me."

For them sharing a boyfriend is much easier than having two separate partners.

"We've had separate boyfriends in the past and it hasn't worked, but now it’s much easier and its great," they told a Caribbean news website in 2015.

"We're with each other 24/7, me and my sister; it's just easier to share a boyfriend because we're always together."

They have been engaged to Ben since 2021, but cannot get married because of Australian laws against polygamy. 

"What's holding us back is that you can't marry two people," Ben explained during an episode of Extreme Sisters. "That's our biggest hurdle."

"Which is totally unfair," the twins added.

While the relationship works for them, they acknowledge that others won't be so open-minded.

"People can judge all they want, but we're just doing what makes us happy," they've said.

On the show, they documented an appointment with a fertility doctor to enquire about falling pregnant at the same time.

Shocked, the doctor admitted he had never dealt with a situation like this.

"It's not a usual scenario that I'm facing," he said. He concluded that there would be a 1 in 36 chance of their hopes coming true.

"That's not good enough, we're not going to accept that," they responded.

They then looked into IVF, but found more issues as such fertility treatments are normally reserved for those who cannot conceive naturally.

The twins said their life was hard because of "all these rules and regulations".

"Marriage and a baby have both been robbed from us because of the way we want to live our life," they said.

In February 2023, they again explained their intentions on ITV's This Morning.

"If it's possible, we'd like to be pregnant together," they said. "At the end of the day, it's how we choose to live our life and we're happy like that."

When asked if Ben felt the pressure of impregnating them both, they laughed. 

"It's double the love for Ben, he understands that we need to be the same, we need to do everything together 24/7," they said.

"We found our everything, we're so thankful we found Ben."
