While the world is already head-over-heels for Ariana Grande‘s brother Frankie, we’re only just meeting the singer’s other sibling, Jacky Vasquez.
Technically, the 23-year-old ‘Side to Side‘ singer and 20-year-old Vasquez aren’t actually related at all, but how you, me or even a genetics expert would be able to tell that, we’re not quite sure.
Speaking to E! News about her striking similarity to Grande, who has 94.5 million Instagram followers, Vasquez said, “I honestly never thought I looked like Ariana. I would see a little resemblance in pictures and videos, but that wasn’t until people would point it out.”
As for being compared to the Grammy nominee, Vasquez says, “It feels amazing to be compared to Ariana since I see her as a sister. She’s so beautiful, so it kinda boosts my self-esteem when people tell me that. I honestly don’t know how she feels about the comparisons but to me, it’s a huge compliment!”
Unfortunately, though, the 20-year-old has not been spared from some hate, with a number of Grande superfans taking issue with Vasquez’s appearance.
“I’ve gotten so much hate from her fans, it’s unbelievable. Half of her fandom are very sweet and nice to me but the other half are the meanest people I’ve ever seen online,” she told E! News.
Haters aside, we can’t imagine Ariana taking issue with Vasquez or her look. Because after all, imitation is the greatest form of flattery, right?
