Bec Judd was once an awkward 10-year-old too, and she's just posted a photo to prove it.

Great news, common folk!

Despite being one of the country’s most genetically blessed humans, it turns out Rebecca Judd was once an awkward, toothy kid just like the rest of us.

While we’re accustomed to seeing Bec’s glamorous selfies in all of their leggy, bronzed glory, today the TV Presenter and model posted an Instagram snap of a different variety.

That is, the Pre-Braces-Awkward-Kid Variety, side by side with her equally enviable sister, Kate Twigley.

And it’s just glorious.

The hats, guys, the hats.

Before anything else is said – the hats. We need to talk about these hats.

The wide brims. All of that delicious straw. The beautiful juxtaposition they make with those side fringes. You couldn’t find a piece of attire that says ‘Our Dad Went Rogue and Has Zero Idea About Fashion’ more, could you?

No. You couldn’t.

Mr Twigley obviously had no clue. Bless his cotton socks.

May this reassure anyone in their teens who feels positively down on life about their crooked pearly whites and cringeworthy hand-me-downs. Because, teens of the world, just look at Bec and Kate. JUST LOOK AT THEM.

Better days (and braces… and possibly modelling contracts and VIP entry into the Lavazza tent at the Melbourne Cup) are coming. Trust that. Believe that. 

I’m still waiting patiently for the above to happen to me. It’s been 20 years (give or take) but I have faith, you guys. I have faith.
