1. ‘Adding distress to an already brutal situation.’ Chris Hemsworth responds to the ‘lies’ about his Byron Bay home.

Chris Hemsworth has denied reports that he’s been using drinking water to water his garden in Byron Bay.

Earlier this week, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that “a fleet of water trucks” were seen heading to the actor’s multi-million dollar home, “estimated to have cost around a million dollars”.

But when the Daily Mail claimed that the water was being used to water the family’s garden amid the drought crisis, Hemsworth quickly responded to the reports.

Posting to Instagram, the 36-year-old actor called the reports “lies”.

“This is a complete lie,” he said.

“Normally I wouldn’t respond to false articles like this but it bothers me a lot,” he added.

“The water truck was purely for drinking water because like everyone in the region who is not connected to town water we have run out of potable water due to the drought. NONE of my garden is fed by drinking water.

“Thanks for your concern #dailymail and thanks for adding more distress to an already brutal situation the whole country is dealing with.”

Last week, Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky announced that they would auction off a one-hour workout session to raise funds for their local RFS firefighters.

2. Hilary Duff just shared the first photo from her wedding and as predicted, she looks amazing.

Hilary Duff has married her long-term partner Matthew Koma in an intimate backyard ceremony.

The couple shared the first photo from the wedding on Instagram this afternoon. “This,” the Lizzie McGuire actress captioned the post.

“The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends,” a source told People.

“The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard,” they added.

Another source told JustJared: “It was a love fest – a small and intimate ceremony at her house with friends and family.”

The couple’s wedding came seven months after they announced their engagement back in May 2019 after three years of dating.

Duff and Koma, both 32 years old, also share a one-year-old daughter, Banks, who was born in October 2018. Duff also has a seven-year-old son, Luca, from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.

3. The Kardashian-West’s Christmas wrapping paper this year is… unusual, to say the least.

Earlier this month we learned Kim Kardashian’s favourite ‘Christmas’ decorations resembled big cotton tampons.

It was confusing for all of us.

So when Kim K shared her choice of Christmas wrapping ‘paper’, we can’t say we were all that surprised.

“West Holiday wrapping this year! Each year every family member pics a colour and vibe so we know who the gifts are from. This year we chose creamy velvet!” she shared on Instagram, along with photos… And look, they’re a bit weird.

Naturally, the choice divided the internet.

Many wondered: How does one wrap a present using velvet cloth? Where does the tape go? What do the Kardashian-Wests have against a typical Christmas aesthetic?

But in 2019, when sustainability and the environment are never far from our thoughts, we have to admire Kim’s eco-friendly approach to the gifts.

4. Cody Simpson was apparently spotted in New York with a model, so of course, that means he and Miley are on the rocks.

Cody Simpson was seen out and about with a model this weekend and Miley Cyrus has been reminiscing about feeling lonely at Christmas time, so apparently there is only one logical conclusion.

Cody was photographed in New York with Playboy magazine’s December 2019 Playmate Jordy Murray on Saturday, and just a day later Miley shared a new song called My Sad Christmas Song, which she wrote a few years ago.

While many jumped to conclusions, Hollywood Life has reported Jordy is dating Cody’s best mate Ryan McCarthy.

While he’s been in New York, Miley is still in Los Angeles. On Sunday she dropped a new Christmas song, writing on Instagram that it was written a few years ago when she was lonely.

“Was feeling like shit cause I couldn’t be with the one I loved,” she explained on Instagram.

“Even with a house full of family and friends I still felt alone. In ways that still feels relevant and someone reading this right now could possibly relate! If you feel lonely this season just know YOU ARE COMPLETELY MADE OF MAGIC!

The last time Cody and Miley were seen together publicly was about two weeks ago at a youth homeless shelter in Los Angeles.

5. In 2012, 24yo Crystal Harris married Hugh Hefner. This is what her life looks like now.

At the age of 22, psychology student Crystal Harris moved in with her boyfriend, Hugh Hefner, who was 60 years her senior.

Hefner was known for his many girlfriends who lived together in a Los Angeles mansion, which he documented for the world to see in the highly successful reality TV show, The Girls of the Playboy Mansion.

Harris lived with the Playboy founder alongside his other girlfriends: identical twin sisters Kristina and Karissa Shannon.

But eventually, Hefner and the twins parted ways and the then-84-year-old proposed to Harris, who was 24.

A mere five days before they were due to exchange vows, Harris called the wedding off. But before long they got back together, and the famous womaniser walked down the aisle for the third time.

Hefner and Harris had been married for less than five years when the Playboy founder passed away in September 2017, with Harris by his side.
