There are plenty of jokes you could make about Kim Kardashian, but there’s nothing even remotely funny about what she went through yesterday.
Still, that hasn’t stopped social media users from making cruel jibes about the reality star being bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint in Paris, with some even suggesting it was all an elaborate publicity stunt.
And Kardashian's friend Chrissy Teigen has had enough.
"Some shit just isn't funny. I see you trying, but it isn't," the model wrote on Twitter.
"Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you'd make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets.
"No one is begging you for sympathy. I know the game plan is to naturally hate celebrities."
The Late, Late Show host James Corden also defended the mother of two, writing:

Kardashian was left "badly shaken but physically unharmed" following the attack, in which five gunman dressed as Parisian policemen forced their way into her accommodation and stole $14million worth of jewellery and mobile phones.
The 35-year-old, who was reportedly bound by packing tape and forced into a bathroom, managed to free herself and call for help once the thieves fled.
As French authorities continued their hunt for the masked men, Parisian mayor, Anne Hidalgo, used social media to condemn the attack and assure Kardashian she will always be welcome back to the city.
“This very rare act occurred in a private space and does not in any way call into question the work of the police and the security of public areas,” she wrote.
Kardashian was in Paris for Paris Fashion Week with her mother Kris Jenner and sister Kylie Jenner. She has since returned to the US on board a private jet.
According to People, her children, North, 3, and nine-month-old Saint were not present at the time of the attack.
Her husband, Kanye West, was on stage performing in New York when he was alerted to the incident.
"I'm sorry, family emergency. I have to stop the show," he told fans.
