David, stop, you’re going to make us cry.
It’s been one month since Candice Warner (nee Falzon) and David Warner’s Easter wedding, and the happy couple have decided to share two things from their special day.
First, a verse from David’s wedding vows. The second? That Candice wore another dress to the reception instead of her $25,000 wedding gown.
Mrs Warner's wedding dress, which graced the cover of Woman's Day last month, was reported to be a "custom-made gown gifted from Pallas Couture".
But the expensive dress was nowhere to be seen at the reception, with photos from the couple's respective Instagram accounts showing Candice, 30, having swapped the French tulle and lace gown for an embroidered white dress with a sweetheart neckline.
One of the photos showed the professional iron woman being lifted into the air by her new husband, the photo's caption reading, "Good times with my husband @davidwarner31 #wedding #love".
David, 28, also shared a range of pictures on Friday from their big day, including one snap of the pair gazing into each other's eyes.
The romantic photo was posted along with the following verse from his wedding vows:
I take you to be my best friend, my faithful partner and my one true love. I promise to encourage you & to inspire you and to love you truly through good times and bad. I will forever be there to laugh with you, to lift you up when you are down and to love you unconditionally through all our adventures in life together. @candywarner1
The Australian cricketer also shared a photo of the couple's eight-month-old daughter, Ivy Mae, who was carried by David's nine-year-old nephew down the aisle.
The couple married on the Easter weekend at the country wedding estate of Terrara House in Nowra, New South Wales.
Speaking to Woman's Day last month, David said he had been overcome with emotion on that day.
"How could I not have a tear in my eye when I saw Candice walk around the corner looking like the most beautiful bride in the world," the Daily Mail reported David to have said.
"I was struck again by just how lucky I was to find The One - the woman I will spend the rest of my life with."
