Where exactly is Hi-5's Fely Irvine now? Still on television, it would appear.

In 2009, Fely Irvine took over from Sun Park as a key member of the five-person strong children’s phenomenon that was Hi-5.

She was there for two years, a fixture on children’s television and a core component of a group that outlasted generations of kids easily entertained by their catchy tunes.

But some eight years later, the former children’s group star is across the world, dabbling in a very different kind of television.

Posting on Instagram this week, Irvine posted an image of herself in the audition process for American Idol.

“Cant wait to see how dorky I get in front of @lionelrichie #fangirl,” she wrote.

American Idol returned to American screens overnight after a two year hiatus with new judges and a new network.

Irvine has been actively pursuing a career in music since leaving the high-profile children’s group. In fact, in 2014 she appeared on Australian screens as part of The Voice, making up part of Ricky Martin’s team.

She has since moved to Los Angeles in a bid to crack into the industry.

In 2015, she became engaged to former Home and Away star Tai Hara, and the two married in 2017. They have been together for five years.
