Sad news for Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

It’s going to be officially official.

Gwyneth Paltrow. 42 and Chris Martin, 38 have sealed the deal on their divorce according to E! News. The couple announced they were ‘consciously uncoupling’ after ten years of marriage in March last year, a year on they’ve filed their divorce papers (it sounds much harsher than uncoupling).

A source has confirmed to the entertainment publication that the couple have been organising their affairs with their business managers, avoiding costly lawyer fees.

This means they will have already signed off on everything when they officially file for divorce today and have worked out the conditions surrounding their assets and child custody.

The celebrity duo have said the cause of their split was due to irreconcilable differences according to E! News despite friends suggesting it was very amicable.

The details of their divorce are set to remain sealed, The Mirror reports. But it is believed the pair have agreed to halve their approximately $180 million fortune equally as well as share joint custody of their two children, Apple 10, and Moses, eight.

They split a year ago.

The former couple released a statement on Paltrow's website, Goop when they first announced their separation in 2014. The statement said:

It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.

The duo have held true to this statement and have still been spending time together as a family with their kids.

It's sad news for the couple, but it has given us faith that there is such a thing as a friendly end to a marriage. Good luck to them both on their next endeavours.
