Hilary Duff on why she posted that 'raunchy' post-baby body photo.

Because mums, we still got it.

When Hilary Duff showed off her toned physique in a stunning bikini photo earlier this month, she did it to celebrate her body three years after having a baby — and to send some love to mums everywhere.

“Hey #moms #westillgotit ?? #loveyourbod,” she wrote.

On Monday, the Younger star, 27, opened up about her decision to post the snap during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

"I’ve never done anything like that before — my Instagram page is pretty tame," she said. "I had spent all weekend in a bikini and I was feeling pretty good. I’m just like everyone else; usually I’m not feeling so good. I [have a] love-hate relationship with my body."

Talking to Ellen DeGeneres about 'that' photo.

Duff welcomed son Luca with then-husband Mike Comrie in 2012. The swimsuit photo, which she took while on a trip with her 3-year-old, was an opportunity to show her appreciation for her family and post-baby body.

"I'm just so proud of my body and what it’s done for me," she said. "It gave me the most beautiful little boy and I feel strong and powerful and I wanted to inspire other women."

Her comments echo the sentiment of Rachel Hollis, the mother of three who posted an image of herself on the beach two weeks ago to empower other mums to take pride in their bodies.

Duff also addressed another buzzed-about topic: her new blue-green hair hue, which was inspired by a trip to Cabo San Lucas.

"I was staring at the ocean and I was like, 'I want that on my head,'" she explained.
