Everything you need to know about Hugh Jackman.

Hugh Jackman

Let’s just start off by putting it all out there: Hugh Jackman is basically a god among men.

An award-winning actor who can also sing and dance with the best of them, Hugh is that old-school gentlemanly kind of triple-threat that increasingly feels like a thing of the past in Hollywood.

Add to that mix his credentials as a genuine big-time action star, a body that could flush the cheeks of pretty much any woman, and his completely flawless reputation as an adoring father and husband. See? A god.

Hugh began his quest for acting glory by turning down a role on Neighbours to attend the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts – a pretty big decision when you consider that this was early 90’s Neighbours (as in, not long after THE Scott and Charlene) so pretty much the big-time for an Aussie acting hopeful.

The decision paid off though, as he was cast in his first TV series, Corelli, the night he graduated and has (give or take) been working ever since.

Effortlessly transitioning from stage to screen, Hugh first came to worldwide attention in 1998 with a stint in West End’s Oklahoma, before being cast as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise in 2000.

Wolverine (and those heaving biceps) sent him into the big-time and from that point on the roles came pouring in, including leads in The Prestige, The Boy from Oz, Australia and of course, his Oscar-nominated turn as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables.

But it’s his relationship with his adorable family that really has the ladies swooning. Hugh met his wife, Deborah Lee Furness on the set of his first professional acting gig and they’ve been inseparable ever since. They’ve adopted two gorgeous children together (Oscar and Ava) and have worked tirelessly to bring attention to and simplify the complexity of the Australian adoption process.

Is it possible for a man to tick every possible box? Yes. Yes it is.
