This celeb has turned down a HUGE amount of money to appear on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Like more-than-the-average-person-makes-in-a-year, huge.

Radio personality/singer/model/famous person Sophie Monk was pegged as one of the top picks for the Australian version of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

But according to Daily Mail Australia, Channel Ten insider said that Sophie has turned down the offer worth more than $60,000 a week.

Her rep Nick Fordham, said he ‘never discusses a client’s financials’ but did confirm Sophie had to say no.

"It was not something that she was interested in pursuing, she has a lot of other opportunities that are coming up for her this year," he told Daily Mail Australia.

Yeah that and she probably doesn't want to eat cockroaches on live TV. Just saying.

The program will take 10 "big-name" (cough) celebrities and drop them in the middle of the African jungle to compete in a series of daring and disgusting tasks to be king or queen of the jungle. Hilarity is said to ensue.

The show's hosts have been announced: Julia Morris and Chris Brown.

Channel Ten is yet to announce the personalities starring on our local version of the popular UK show but there has been plenty of speculation about who might take up the offer.

Potential contestants include: actor Vince Colosimo, The Bachelor Australia star Laurina Fleure, Ian 'Dicko' Dickson, Big Brother 2013 contestant Ben Zabel and Dancing With The Stars contestant Mark Holden.

We've thought of some more celebs who we wouldn't mind fight it out in the jungle...
