Jason Mraz finally married in a roofless church.

Fortunately, it didn’t rain.

Jason Mraz, 38, married his lady Christina Carano on the weekend, in a simple white structure that eschews walls and a roof.

The structure isn’t actually an unfinished wedding marquee — rather, it’s a church that came between opposing forces during America’s Civil War. Confederates fired on Union forces who were occupying the church and it caught ablaze.

Locals were unable to afford to rebuild it, so the structure, called the Polegreen Church, stands in Mechanicsville, Virginia as it is.

Interesting story, huh? Any other queries?

What’s a Jason Mraz, you ask? Great question.

Mraz is a Grammy Award winning singer, whose hits include such earworms as I’m Yours and Lucky.

He is also a vegan whose veganism has influenced his music, according to trusted internet resource Wikipedia. He owns an avocado farm. It’s unclear how this has affected his music.

Mraz was previously engaged to singer-songwriter Tristan Prettyman.

His new wife is a former coffee-shop owner from Michigan.

“After several years of crushing on him, the stars finally aligned—and now he’s my stud. We’ve created a really awesome life together and we make a great team,” Carano told The Osider in August.

“He’s the most loving, generous, and most hardworking man I know. These are the most attractive qualities I could ever ask for in a partner. He inspires me and empowers me everyday to live my best life and he cares so deeply about the things that really matter. We’re truly blessed in so many ways.”

He has just changed his Instagram profile to read Singer/Songwriter/Husband.

These two are clearly blessed, even if only because they avoided rain at their roofless church wedding.
