How a Swedish Instagram influencer was exposed for photoshopping her images.

Another day, another Instagram influencer scandal…

This time around, Swedish influencer Johanna Olsson has been caught photoshopping herself onto various backgrounds across Paris.

The blogger, who was sent to Paris on an all expenses paid trip to promote clothes, inserted herself into different backgrounds, while also heavily editing the scenic photos to make them appear more beautiful.

The backlash came quick and Johanna was forced to disable comments on her Instagram page when fans began to point out that the photos looked superimposed.

“Ridiculous, does she not notice,” one follower commented.

“I will just assume that every picture on this account is photoshopped like this one now,” another said.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the influencer addressed the controversy surrounding the Paris photos.

“I wanted to talk a little bit about the pictures I posted in Paris. So I did one picture, shot it and didn’t think it looked that nice… so I took a different background and put the background into it,” she said.

“And when I put it up, nobody noticed, so I thought, this is good,” she continued.

A number of Swedish publications have pulled apart Johanna’s Instagram photos, highlighting the obvious editing tricks she used.

In some pictures, like the one below, it even appeared that the influencer was levitating above the ground.

“I admit it wasn’t my finest Photoshop skills,” the 28-year-old said.

“Now in Sweden this thing has gone crazy and TV shows want me to come on and talk about my ‘fake travelling’,” she continued.

“It’s a bit ridiculous I think. There are a lot of influencers out there that Photoshop in birds, rainbows or crazy skies and I could do that but I don’t like that.

“I just wanted to make that clear that I was in Paris, but I did Photoshop the background, but I’m not going to take them down because it’s a collaboration.”
