Kate Winslet on the story behind her son's unusual name

Kate Winslet opens up naming her boy after a house fire, and being back at work within six weeks after his birth.

Oscar winner Kate Winslet is a consummate professional in every movie she works on. But when she was called back to the “Divergent” set for reshoots just six weeks after giving birth to her third child in December, the request took her by surprise.

“I said, ‘Are you high?'” she laughed during an interview for TODAY with E’s Jason Kennedy. “How am I going to do this?”

But she took care of business. “I would feed, and shoot, and nurse … there’s actually something really empowering about going, ‘Hell, I can do this. I can do all this,’ ” the actress, who just received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Monday. “And that’s the wonderful thing about mothers is that you can, because you must and you just do.”

Kate also opened up to Ellen Degeneres, explaining the story behind her son’s unusual middle name.  Kate told the popular TV host that ‘Bear’s second name is Blaze because my husband (Ned Rocknroll) and I met in a house fire basically.’ The couple were both holidaying on Richard Branson’s Necker Island when the fire broke out. ‘The house burned down and we survived,’ says Kate ‘but we wanted something of the fire and so Blaze was the name that we came up with. Bear Blaze.’

The celebrity pair married a year later in 2012.

Divergent opens April 10.
