Kendall Jenner has a troubling reason for painting her wall pink.

Kendall Jenner has taken to her app to share why she chose to paint a wall in her living room pink. Her explanation has received a very mixed response.

The pink wall first made its debut on Jenner’s Instagram last month when it featured in the background of a picture she posted of her Christmas tree. The pink hue made the tree “pop”, but there was more to the 21-year-old’s choice of paint than aesthetics.

In a post called The story behind my pink wall, the reality TV star explains that she was inspired to choose the hue when she was at dinner with friends who were discussing the “Human Condition” exhibition that they attended in a former Los Angeles hospital.

“They were telling me there’s a pink room at the exhibit that had an explanation of the colour choice,” Jenner wrote. “Baker-Miller Pink is the only colour scientifically proven to calm you and suppress your appetite.”

“I was like, ‘I need this colour in my house!'”

“I then found someone to paint the room and now I’m loving it!”

On one hand, it is good news that the model is finding ways to bring more calm in her life. In November 2016, Jenner revealed that she has been suffering anxiety and sleep paralysis. It makes sense that she is trying to make her home a peaceful environment.

On the other hand, why is the already petite Jenner looking for ways to suppress her appetite? And, more importantly, why is she promoting appetite suppressants to her young, impressionable fans?

Jenner shared the link to her post on her Twitter account and some readers shared the same concerns.

“What’s wrong with eating? I get it you’re a model but don’t promote unhealthy habits to millions of impressionable people,” @etherealnicki tweeted.

“Perhaps but you do not under any conditions need to suppress your appetite,” Ken Krysta added.

“Because it suppresses your appetite?? I get that you’re a model but there’s no reason to promote that,” @onlyposersdiex wrote.

Jenner is yet to respond to the negative feedback.

Jenner’s older sister Khloe Kardashian previously shared on her website that Jenner actually loves to eat.

“People always find it funny that Kenny is on the anti-model diet,” Kardashian wrote in a post called My sisters’ diets are cray.

“She loves burgers and pizza and goes to In-N-Out all the time.”
