Kim Kardashian responds to the 'funny' claims she suffered a major Photoshop fail.

While hundreds and thousands of school students were marching for their lives across the US on Sunday, some were more preoccupied with a rather odd picture Kim Kardashian uploaded on Instagram.

In the snap, which the 37-year-old reality TV star captioned, “Let’s March”, Kim is pictured wearing a pair of bike pants with an orange jacket – the same outfit she wore to the marches in Los Angeles, which she attended with her four-year-old daughter North and rapper husband Kanye West.

But it was the car in the background of the shot that got people talking.

The car, parked behind Kim, appeared squashed, which many saw as evidence that Kim had digitally altered the snap in an effort to make herself appear thinner.

The internet was soon flooded with comments pointing out Kim's obvious "fail".

"Ready to march but first, take a pic, make herself look thin while ignoring the physics of shrinking a vehicle. No shame," one person wrote on Twitter.

Another added: "If this picture isn't photoshopped then what the f*** is going on with that car behind".

Kim responded by blocking her 109 million followers from being able to comment on the post.

But, in a blog post shared on her personal website titled What Photoshop Fail?!, Kim has denied she photoshopped the picture at all and says the 'error' is a result of her using a fan photo.

"I'm seeing online and on news media outlets that I suffered a "Photoshop fail." So ridiculous!" Kim wrote.

"I reposted a picture on Instagram that a fan had already posted - I only added a filter to it. It looks like the fan mirrored the photo, which is the reason the car looks like that."

Kim also shared the original fan image in the post - which goes a long way in explaining why the car looks so darn strange.

Kim said the controversy was "actually really funny" and said she would never Photoshop a car to "look like that".
