'I'm a trans man. Here's my honest review of the Lelo Soraya Wave sex toy.'

On the hunt for a new sex toy? Unsure what to go for and whether or not you need a newly fandangled suction element? Well, BREATHE. Because the Mamamia sex toy reviews are here to help. We get real people to get real intimate with real sex toys and then tell us about them.

This week Parker (he/him), a 22-year-old trans man, reviews the Soraya Wave Vibrator by Lelo.

What does the sex toy claim to do?

The Lelo Soraya Wave rabbit massager promises a "full-body orgasmic experience".

With a flexible external arm and a pulsating tip, the Soraya Wave offers external stimulation AND penetration for most body types... I'm just going to spoil things for you right now and say, it definitely did what it came to do. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

What was your first impression of the sex toy? (Just by looking at it.)

I thought it was really cool, super sleek, and the colour was a big plus. It wasn't too intimidating either. Some sex toys have spikes or crazy sizes, but I think the Soraya Wave had a perfect look.

I also loved how the Soraya Wave didn't mimic the look of a penis. Not everyone wants a dick-shaped toy, because news flash: not everyone likes dick (I do, but either way it was a nice touch).

How much is the sex toy? And do you think it’s worth it?

The Soraya Wave comes with the hefty price tag of $349, although if you shop around you can find it for a whole $100 cheaper

I would recommend it to a lot of friends, because you don't have to do... much. It kind of clamps on your clitoris in the most perfect way. The price is steep, but I didn't even know there were toys that had the capabilities this one has. If you're looking to expand your collection for something different and a guarantee to do the job wellthen I think the Soraya Wave would be a handy little addition.

What was it like using the sex toy? And how did it really feel?

Firstly, can I just say the black and gold colourway slapped. Perhaps how a sex toy looks doesn't matter to everyone, and for the most part, it also doesn't really matter to me either. But as a trans man, it gets to be a turnoff when you walk into a sex shop, or look around online, and all you see are sex toys that are only pink and purple.

It's not that toys are necessarily gendered, but for the most part, brands have a bad habit of just marketing to either ciswomen or cismen. So for me, the Soraya Wave was a MASSIVE plus.

In terms of how it felt, it was great. It wasn't too much, and neither was it overwhelming (unless you want it to be). Overall, it hit every single spot.

It was a really fun experience, and this handy little gadget has quickly become a favourite in my collection.

Just as a note, I am someone who doesn't orgasm easily with just toys so I usually need to bring my hands into the mix. It's a personal preference, but I found it really easy to manoeuvre the Soraya Wave so I could use my fingers as well.

Although I don't just climax with toys, it really intensified the orgasm and made the pleasure that much better.

Describe the sex toy in three words:

Fun, easy and quiet.

What score would you give the sex toy out of 10?

I'd definitely give it an eight and a half out of 10. Good time all around.

This sex toy is best for people who want…

Something different, and someone who likes both external stimulation and penetration. You can't have it either way with this one - it's all or nothing. It's also great for someone who doesn't want to do that much work, because it kind of just does its own thing.

Any final words?

I will say it is probably better suited for solo play. I did try it with a partner and we both found there wasn't much left for them to do (unless you enjoy anal at the same time). Take that as you will.
