Will Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio win an Oscar this year?

It’s been almost two decades since a 21-year-old Kate Winslet and a 22-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio met on the set of Titanic.

While they’ve hit some roadblocks over the years (i.e. Kate letting Leo die because she wanted the floating door all to herself, Leo being a fairly ordinary husband in Revolutionary Road) their friendship has made for a highly-watchable journey.

The pair are both vying for Oscar gold at the 88th Academy Awards, with Winslet nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Steve Jobs, and DiCaprio nominated for Best Actor for The Revenant. Of course, these ridiculously good looking, ridiculously talented besties will support each other on the night, because that’s what real friendship is all about.

Watch the adorable evolution of Kate and Leo’s friendship. Our prediction is that they’ll both win an Oscar, and their heartfelt tributes to each other will have us furiously messaging our friends, demanding that they be more supportive of our dreams. Even if those dreams involve sitting on the couch watching awards shows while devouring an array of snacks.
