Married at First Sight's Zoe Hendrix is trying every trick in the book to induce labour.

Needles, oil, dates and chilli: these are just a few of the methods Married At First Sight star Zoe Hendrix has tried in an attempt to induce labour.

Hendrix, who is 39 weeks pregnant, told fans on social media she is testing almost every trick in the book in order to meet bub sooner.

“WAITING GAME is getting hard,” she wrote on Instagram.

“I’ve tried acupuncture, castor oil (I don’t recommend that), jumping on the fit ball, long walks, spicy food, eating dates but so far no success! This baby is not budging!”

Drinking castor oil is just one word-of-mouth way heavily pregnant mums try to speed up the delivery of their babies. It’s said to be about as unpleasant as it sounds.

Some fans rushed to tell Hendrix to savour these last few moments of baby-free life.

“Baby is just teaching you early to be patient, enjoy these last few days/weeks, and rest and enjoy your final time as “two”, cafe dates and uninterrupted movies,” one fan wrote.

Others chose to share their own tips and tricks.

“Pineapple!”

“Sex.”

“Eat curry!”

The soon-to-be-mum is one half of the only experimental couple to have survived season one of the unusual reality television show.

She and husband Alex Garner shared a pregnancy health scare only last month.

“I had dramatically lessened movement from baby and after trying the hot shower/cold drink which always worked but didn’t, we decided to go in for monitoring. We were terrified,” she wrote on Instagram.

The 27-year-old assured fans that although bub was fine, the experience could be useful for other expectant parents.

“I wanted to share and say to all other mums and dads out there, don’t hesitate to call your hospital and get monitoring,” she wrote.

“Listen to your body and follow your instinct. I don’t like a fuss, but I’ve learnt that lesson. Baby comes first.”

We can only wish a speedy delivery, a lack of castor oil and a healthy, happy outcome.
