Matthew Lewis (aka Neville Longbottom) just got married and their announcement is divine.

You probably recognise the name Matthew Lewis from the credits of Harry Potter, the actor best-known for his role as Neville Longbottom.

But despite Neville’s lack of success in the love department on screen, Lewis himself grew into a bit of a, shall we say, attractive man (he literally inspired the term ‘Longbottoming’). And this weekend, the 28-year-old got hitched to his fiancée Angela Jones in Portofino, Italy.

The actor shared a photo of the big day to Twitter, writing, “Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming.”

Lewis proposed to Jones in December 2016 in Paris, about a year after meeting the lifestyle blogger at an event at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, in Orlando, where his now wife was working as an event planner, says TMZ.

On their wedding day, the American bride wore a floor-length dress, with a modest train and a cinched waist, with stunning lace detail from the waist to the neckline.

Jones, from Florida, wrote about their romance on her blog Sunshine State of Me.

“I never believed in soul mates until we met. We came from two different countries, 4,334 miles apart, and yet we were one and the same. A few months after meeting, he proposed to me in Paris during my first trip abroad,” she wrote.

“Yes, it’s been that kind of fairytale thing. We’ve travelled to some incredible places since and I’ve learned to appreciate different cultures, food, people and politics. I’ve especially learned to embrace British culture, whether I’ve fancied it or not.”

The couple, who spent a lot of their relationship long-distance, will be starting their marriage with a life together in Los Angeles.
