Couples reveal their "number" to each other for the first time. Cue awkwardness.

How had they never had this conversation before?

It used to be a somewhat mandatory conversation between new-ish couples – once things got more serious, you’d sit down, drink some wine and “reveal” your number (a.k.a. the number of people you’ve had sex with pre-new partner).

Apparently, people have stopped having this conversation. Did we stop caring about the number?  Do we just not deem it necessary anymore? You know, because of privacy and trust and all that.

Carly Rae Jepsen had the right idea.

Elite Daily have taken issue with the fact some couples don’t know each other’s number – so they decided to put a bunch of couples on the spot and just straight up ask them on camera.

It. Gets. Awkward.

And it was all captured in this video. Post continues after video.

The responses range from “I don’t know” to “150” to “four”. There are a few that say they don’t want to know, but most are brutally honest.

Surprisingly, there are couples who’ve been together for years (the longest relationship in there was 16 years), but had never even broached the numbers chat. Didn’t they ever get curious?!

Have you or would you disclose the number of people you’ve had sex with to your current partner?
