Paul Walker‘s ex-girlfriend has gained custody of their daughter, Meadow, in a court battle with Walker’s mother, Cheryl Ann.
The mother of the late Fast and the Furious star had submitted a petition seeking temporary guardianship of the 15-year-old, stating that she did not think that the girl’s mother, Walker’s ex-girlfriend Rebecca Soteros, was unfit to look after the child.
Soteros has been the recipient of two DUIs.
There are now reports that Cheryl Ann reached a bargain with Soteros, whereby she would drop her application for custody if Soteros attended a rehab facility for her issues with alcoholism.
Ultimately, the court decided that the application for temporary guardianship was unnecessary. Procedural blunders, such as failing to serve documents on Soteros, also hindered Mrs Walker’s case.
Meadow had lived with her mother in Hawaii for 13 years, moving to Los Angeles to live with Walker in 2011.
Paul Walker passed away following a single-car accident in November last year.
