Peaches' eerie last interview: "They say I'll die like my mum."

In her last interview, Peaches Geldof said how hard it was to run from her tragic past. And in the end, she couldn’t.

It’s been almost three months since this doting mother of two was found dead, apparently of an overdose, in her English countryside home.

Now, the last “last” interview with Peaches has been released, and it makes for very eerie reading.

Talking to British magazine The Spectator, Peaches Geldof said that with the world so aware of her tragic past, people would say she was destined to meet a tragic end.

“It’s like I’m someone in a book,” she told the reported. “Your life, they keep telling you, is pre-ordained: ‘I’m going to die like my mother, she’s going to end up like her mother.'”

Of course, it ended up coming true.

Peaches Geldof passed away on April 7 in the home she shared with her husband Thomas Cohen. An initial post-mortem last month revealed herion as the ‘likely’ cause of death, indeed echoing her mother, Paula Yates, passing in 2000 from an accidental heroin overdose.

In the interview she talked about what it was like growing up as the daughter of famous parents.

"I grew up in the worst kind of whirlwind where every mistake I made was not only watched by my parents but the whole of the public. It was scary. I was this 14-year-old famous person’s daughter. You cannot be in the public eye and not have it affect you."

But the turn-around seemed to come when Geldof had her two boys,  Astala Dylan Willow Geldof-Cohen and Phaedra Bloom Forever Cohen. "Suddenly I was this earth mother. It was an overnight transformation."

And while she claimed to have traded in her partying ways to being a devoted mum, she couldn't outrun her tragic past.

Peaches was undoubtedly a loving mum, as shown by these pics of her with her beloved boys.
