Pink knows the pure hot hell that is 'Elf on the Shelf' all too well.

Oh, Elf on the Shelf.

Those tiny red and green Santa helpers have been tormenting parents for weeks now.

In case you missed it, Elf on the Shelf is exactly what it sounds like – little elves that sit on shelves around the house and watch over children on the lead up to Christmas, to make sure they’re being nice and not naughty.

The elves move around each night so the kids know they’re keeping an eye on them.

The only catch is – it’s up to the parents to move the little buggers. Every freaking night.

And if a parent forgets to move the elves it usually ends in tears and/or a massive tantrum.

But when Pink forgot to move one of her elves her daughter, Willow, had a slightly different reaction.

She went straight to the big guy in red and demanded answers.

Pink posted a photo of Willow’s letter to Santa on Instagram which read, “Santa, I am worried about Chippy, he has been in the same spot for three days. I don’t know why.”

“Translation: MOM FAIL,” Pink captioned the image.

Indeed. Though, we don’t exactly blame her.

Pink’s followers immediately shared their own Elf on the Shelf parenting fails.

Listen: Another two ways to nail Elf on the Shelf. (Post continues after audio…)

“Guilty!! My girls suggested leaving her a vitamin once in case she was sick, and now we do that every time she doesn’t move, ” one person commented. “The other night I told them she must have gone to visit her family in the north pole and didn’t make it back in time to move without us seeing her.”

“I wrote a note for our elf, explaining she’s saving up her energy for a few days, for her big journey home back to the north pole…. she’s been chilling in a Kleenex box for three days,” added another.

“You’re not alone! Mine only moves on the weekends because he can’t go out on school nights when mommy is busy getting things ready,” someone else said.

Oh Pink, looks like every parent has been there.

TWO MORE NIGHTS TO GO.
