Attention single women: Prince Harry is looking to settle down.

Single women of the world: This is your time to shine.

Prince Harry (AKA the planet’s most eligible bachelor) might just be ready to settle down and start a family.

Speaking to Good Morning America over the weekend, the 31-year-old says he adores kids and is itching to have some of his own soon.

“I can’t wait for the day. So, you know, it will be fantastic,” said Harry. “I’ve got a kid inside of me. I want to keep that. I adore kids. I enjoy everything that they bring to the party. They just say what they think.”

In the meantime, the prince says he loves spending time with his young nephew and niece, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. While he plans to start a family of his own in the coming years, for now being the “fun uncle” to the pair is enough.

“You’ve got to have fun in life. Otherwise, wow, imagine life without fun… You’ve got to be taken seriously, but I hope that I’m a fun uncle.”

The majority of Harry’s time is spent working with charities, much like his late mother. Currently he is promoting the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-inspired event for injured war veterans. A veteran of the British Army, Harry has a steadfast commitment to the games which he will attend in Florida this May.

His work with the Invictus Games is something he hopes would make his mother, who died tragically in a car accident when he was just 12-years-old, proud.

“I hope she’s looking down, you know, with tears in her eyes, being incredibly proud of what we’ve established, I suppose,” Harry said. “I’m sure she’s longing for me to have kids so she can be a grandmother again.

“I hope that everything we do privately and officially, that it makes her proud… I think losing your mother at such a young age does end up shaping your life massively. Of course, it does, and now I find myself trying to be there and give advice to other people who are in similar positions.”

When asked what his mother left him, Harry says her ability to give good hugs rubbed off on him.

“Everyone needs a hug now and again and it just so happens that I’ve been told over and over again that I’m very good with hugs,” Harry said.

As for Queen Elizabeth, who is due to turn 90 this April, the prince says he has the utmost respect for his grandmother.

“Because of my time in the service, [I have] the utmost of respect, not just for her as a grandmother. She was my boss for 10 years and I viewed her very much like that.

“Now it’s really nice because I can go to her for advice and bend her ear with all the experiences she’s had over the years.”

Is Prince Harry your ‘type’?
