You might just want to leave her alone. She may have already hugged Celine behind close doors. Anyway, it's amazing how quick people spread negativity.

@rush very true..not easy navigating puberty!! We just need to support our kids the best we can. And Sportsgirl!! yes..the classic bag & tshirt!! 😄

@rush OMG..reading your comment about Dolly magazine brought back so many memories 😊

You are right, we just want to fit in. It takes a person great strength to not worry about fitting in. I think as parents, that is what we should be working on. Teaching our children not to be sheep..not always easy. My daughter is now 20 and is less interested in make up compared to when she was 13 and starting high school. Perhaps it is just a phase they go through. I can relate. The only difference is that my parents did not give me a cent to buy skin care. I worked part time and saved to buy my first Nutrimetics Teen. 😄

@mamamia-user-482898552 I totally agree with your comment. Can't believe they would write an article about a name!

Just because they have money, doesn't mean that they pay for your meal (or half of it). That's entirely up to them.

Linen has been worn for years..not "recent" and nor has it to do with DISSH. Most of the clothes that I wore in the 80s & 90s were linen.

That's a difficult situation to be in. I think he should've done his will while he was having his cancer treatment. That way they can't blame the step-mum.

@cat true..however it is sad that parents can't give their children money and just support them. The money should be given as a gift. Unfortunately, some parents want to take control. Sad really

@emm01 good on Cindy for finding her voice now. Just because it happened years ago, doesn't mean it was ok.

I just want to throw up. Absolutely sickening! How dare she!!

@mamamia-user-482898552 100% Iman was just next level!

@kate m that's true. I started working in the 80s and us females were just expected to put up with crap from blokes. It was such a toxic environment. Glad to see that most women today won't accept this behaviour.

"Our lives are pretty far outside of the ordinary"..not really. Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you surround yourself with European families or African families, you'll see that this is the norm. Many of my students come from these backgrounds where they are 1 of 8, 9, 10 siblings. It is common in many nationalities. Having said that, good on you!

@therage 100% ..I was discussing this a few days ago with my colleagues. It would make sense that the education minister know a thing or two about what goes on in classrooms.

@anonymous you're kidding aren't you? You clearly have no idea what teachers do!! We work during those weeks off. Many of us go in on our holidays to work. So don't comment on something you clearly have no idea about!!

@mjte a risk assessment? Seriously??

Be gentle on yourself. We are mothers, not wonder women.
