EXCLUSIVE: MasterChef's Rose responds to the fans who think she should go home.

“That’s great, let them talk, it’s fine.”

It’s got be to a tough gig for MasterChef contestant Rose Adam, after constantly being at the bottom of the competition and facing a huge number of elimination challenges. But speaking exclusively to iVillage Australia, Adam has responded to the negative feedback she faces from MasterChef fans, suggesting that she should leave the competition.

“I don’t really notice them to be honest. I really steer clear of any kind of negativity online. I can’t tell you how many positive messages I get from people. I get messages saying, ‘We love your fighting spirit, keep pushing, don’t give up, keep learning.’ That’s the kind of stuff I focus on,” she told iVillage Australia.

"Like look, I get it, people love MasterChef. They invite us into their homes almost every night of the week. They’re very passionate about it and there’s such a high standard. So when a contestant doesn’t deliver what they want, they’re going to talk about it. And that’s great, let them talk, it's fine. I don’t pay any attention to it. I’m completely focused on just the people who are supporting me," Adam continued.

And while fans of the show may not be betting on Adam to win, she does have one huge supporter. Former MasterChef winner Julie Goodwin, who has tipped her to take out the series. Speaking about her chances of winning, Adam said, "I’m not really seeing myself as the winner. I’m seeing myself as survive this week survive that week. Then having Julie Goodwin come out saying, ‘I think you can win this’ I’m like, ‘Really?’ That’s amazing."

Adam in fact doesn't back herself as the winner. “Last week I was like, ‘It’s Anna, Anna’s going to win this.’ She’s was completely nailing it and now she’s gone. It’s so hard to say. You don’t know what’s going to happen the next week. I think right now, Billie is my number one contender, she’s amazing. Watching her in the pressure test the other night was just phenomenal. She’s amazing and consistent," Adam explained.

There's no rest for the MasterChef contestants either, as Adam reveals there isn't much downtime when they get out of the kitchen. “When we’re home we do quite a bit of cooking practice. We have rosters in the kitchen and then you get a couple of hours with a couple of other people in the kitchen," Adam said.

"Surprising there’s not a lot of down time. I don’t really hang around watching a lot of TV. I kind of treat it like a job. I study and practice and I’ll give myself a lunch break for an hour or a tea break. Then in the evenings when everything is all said and done we just hang out with each other. It’s nice just to talk and talk about our lives. We debrief about the show but we also get to learn about each other. In the kitchen we don’t get the opportunity to talk," she continued.

After only having two ten minute phone calls a week with her family, Adam spends a lot of time with her fellow contestants. Speaking about who she is closest to in the competition, Adam says, “I was sharing with Fiona, Georgia and Sara but it’s just Georgia and Sara at the moment. I do talk to Sara quite a lot. Her and I have really good chats and Georgia as well. Ashleigh is a good friend, Jamie is a good mate and Stephen. There’s a few people that I do talk to quite a bit. But there isn’t one person I’d say I’m hanging around with the most. I’m kind of a floater. It just depends on what I need.”
