Selena Gomez just had a complete breakdown on stage. And it was beautiful.

Singer, Selena Gomez was left absolutely speechless during a concert in Montreal last Thursday night.

While performing her 2011 hit “Who Says”, the 23-year-old was left racked with emotion when she realised fans were holding up signs that read: “We are worth it.”

As she blinked through tears at the audience, her avid fans were not going to let her flounder and so they powerfully sung back to her.

“Who says, who says you’re not perfect,” the crowd sang to their idol.

“Who says you’re not worth it? Who says you’re the only one that’s hurtin’? Trust me, that’s the price of beauty. Who says you’re not pretty? Who says you’re not beautiful? Who says?”

Pretty powerful stuff, right?

Gomez tried to regain her composure throughout the song but ended up leaving it to her spirited fans to carry her through.

By the end of the song, as she wiped her tears away, she mouthed the word, “F*ck”. It looked kind of like this:

Of course, as a professional performer, it’s their job to sing through the rough, the good and the downright jaw-dropping moments.

But, it’s totally okay to be vulnerable and let others pull you through.

As she told the audience, “Thank you guys for spending your night with me… Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or now, it’s just been such a crazy ride because you’ve seen me go through my ups and downs, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”

Gomez’s career really kicked off after starring in a number of Disney TV shows including Wizards of Waverly Place.

The singer was then involved in a turbulent, on and off relationship with pop star Justin Bieber between 2011 and 2014.

The performer is well-known for her powerful brand that aims to promote and empower young women, and from this, we can totally understand why.
