Taylor speaks out about her reputation as a man-eater.

Taylor Swift may be virtually unrecognisable in her latest shoot with US Vogue but her humble aspirations remind us why the pop star is considered a cultural queen.

But let’s start with the look.

Fans of Swift will open May’s edition of Vogue to find a very different Taylor.

The singer songwriter appears inside the magazine with bleached locks styled into a long bob evoking an effortless catwalk glamour.

The look is echoed on the cover where Swift’s ruby red lipstick pops against the background.

The accompanying interview presents a woman evolving in the public eye.

Swift shared some details of her  love life with boyfriend of 12 months DJ Calvin Harris, and her plans for the immediate future.

But while she is open about her aspirations she says she is hesitant to share too much about her current relationship with Harris having been burned by the media’s constant speculation about who she is dating.

“I’m in a magical relationship right now.” Swift said.

“And of course I want it to be ours, and low-key… This is the one thing that’s been mine about my personal life.”

She used the interview to voice her frustration at the way she had previously been portrayed by the public as a voracious single woman who ate up boyfriends and then spat them out.

“You know, I went out on a normal amount of dates in my early 20s, and I got absolutely slaughtered for it,” Swift said.

“I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened… I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something.”

Swift’s first goal for the year is to learn how to save somebody from drowning. Yep. CPR.

“So CPR, all the various kinds of chest compressions. People tell you little tips, but that’s different from actually taking a class and getting certified.” Swift said.

Second on the list is how to make the perfect cocktail. Let’s hope she doesn’t plan on combining the two.
