SWEET JESUS.

We've made it. 

After approximately six weeks of wholesome dates and a few rogue arguments over a love seat, we've reached the grand finale of The Bachelorette.

Tonight, Brooke Blurton, Australia's very first bisexual Bachelorette, will choose between frontrunner Darvid and her old friend/flame Jamie-Lee.

LET’S DO THIS.

We open on Brooke, who receives an emotional video message from a man named Pete, who has been a father figure in her life for years.

"I'm talking from Gwambygine, in Ballardong country, your country," he says.

"I want you to know that your mum and your grandmum are with you."

WE'RE NOT EVEN 10 MINUTES IN AND WE'RE ALREADY CRYING.

As Brooke's family are based in Western Australia, she's invited her friends Amy and Abbie (aka Abbie Chatfield) to grill Jamie-Lee and Darvid. 

First up, Darvid chats to Amy, who has some hard-hitting questions about Brooke's background.

"So, if I said to you, whose land are you on, where you live, can you tell me?" Amy asks him.

"No," Darvid responds.

"You don't know that? So it would take dating an Aboriginal woman for you to start to consider that you live on Aboriginal land?" she replies.

"But I'm willing to learn, and I'm willing to be a part of it all," he says.

"I do feel pretty naïve and ashamed that I haven't done the research. I'd always step into whatever it is that she needs."

"I just don't think it matters... that's not worrying me at all," he says.

"I love that she's open about everything. And that doesn't scare me."

Now, Darvid is facing Abbie. 

Upon meeting, Abbie tells Darvid that he needs to tell Brooke that he loves her. Immediately.

"I told Matt [Agnew] top three! Grow up!" she jokes.

"And I still lost. But you know what? On the plane home, I was crying, and I thought, 'At least told him I loved him'." 

After meeting both Amy and Abbie, Darvid manages to pass with flying colours.

"I think it's a nice vibe. I think they're really sweet. They kind of already seem like they're together. It seems like it's Brooke's boyfriend she's bringing in to meet us, which is really nice," Abbie says.

"If she's like that with both of them, honestly... I'm scared for both their little hearts."

Ooft. Abbie is right. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET THEIR HEART BROKEN.

Next up, Jamie-Lee arrives to meet with Amy and Abbie.

While chatting, Brooke admits that she previously asked Abbie on a date.

"No. No. Okay. She has this narrative of lies that she tells everyone. She's, like, 'You kept ignoring me.' No, I didn't," Abbie says.

"It was during peak COVID. She was in Perth. I was in Brisbane. I can't come."

"Don't make my girlfriend jealous," Brooke responds, jokingly.

Excuse me. GIRLFRIEND? GIRLFRIEND? We love this.

Later on, Amy takes Jamie-Lee for a chat to find out how much she knows about Brooke's background.

"So if I said to you, whose land are you on, you'd be able to tell me?" Amy asks.

"No," Jamie-Lee replies.

"No."

It's time for Jamie-Lee's final single date with Brooke.

After riding electric bikes, they sit surrounded by roses and fairy lights, and Jamie-Lee tells Brooke that she loves her.

"I feel this is, like, going to be one of the hardest goodbyes," Jamie-Lee tells her.

WAIT.

It's time for Darvid's final date, and a random lady is teaching them how to delay ejaculation pls.

So for their final dates, Jamie-Lee got electric bikes, and Darvid got... tantric yoga.

Is it just us, or is this feeling painfully obvious now?

Later on, Darvid decides to follow Abbie's advice and tell Brooke exactly how he feels.

"It just feels right doing stuff with you. I don't want to get emotional, but it was pretty clear to me early on... how special you were," he says.

"I genuinely think you are... so beautiful, wonderful. You'd be an amazing mum. You'd be an awesome partner. And we'd be a really good team.

"I don't know if it's gonna come out right, but... I have well and truly fallen. I love you."

UGH THIS IS TOO MUCH.

"I came here hoping to find that. I didn't expect to find it," Brooke tells the producers.

"But I love it. And I love him. I just love him."

Oooooooooh.

IT'S HAPPENING.

Brooke meets Osher, and it soon becomes clear that Brooke's dress is the real winner tonight.

The first car is arriving and SWEET JESUS.

It's... Jamie-Lee.

"You are absolutely beautiful inside and out, and you make me feel like the only girl in the world. I really, really love exploring... the possibility of a relationship and our beautiful love story," Brooke says.

"But, unfortunately, it's not ours. My heart is... with someone else."

But at least she has Adele's new album to listen to, right?

Sssssshhhh.

Darvid has arrived.

"You came in here and you granted me three wishes, and I still have one left," Brooke says.

"Darvid. Will you make me the happiest girl?"
