The surprising make-up colour you should try

As Charlize Theron showed us at the Golden Globes, a dame CAN wear pink on her eyes, lips and cheeks and manage to avoid looking ridiculous.

The key is to keep the pink in the same “tone” family and to balance the textures out, rather than have them all exactly the same (e.g All too matte or all too shimmery.)

I’ve done shimmering, pastel pink eye lids, flushed pink cheeks and a soft, dusty glossed lip but you can obviously do what ever the ding you want.

Also, don’t get too caught up on how mine looks at the end, because the camera doesn’t show it too well, and in any case I’m no makeup artist and am doing it in three minutes; instead these videos are intended to focus on products, tools and application so you feel confident to try it yourself.

Of course if this all strikes you as Far Too Much Work, one VERY simple way to do to try Pink Times Three is with pink creme blush – simply prep eye lids with concealer then dab some up there, pop some on the apples on the cheeks and dab a layer onto the lips. Glorious!

NB: You can’t see quite how … sparkly the NP creme shadow is on the video, but it’s got quite some shimmer. This makes it wonderful for making the eyes look wide awake and is terrific when hurled together with thin black liquid liner and bright lips. Or nude lips. Up to you, peaches.

Okay, I pink that’s everything. (Zzzzzing!)
