After Australia voted 'Yes', Alex Nation quietly made an announcement of her own.

For months there has been murmurings about that The Bachelor‘s Alex Nation was in a relationship with fellow football teammate, Maegan Luxa.

We say speculation because the two have been *accidentally* spotted at various balls, dinners, and holidaying in Bali. You know, because paps somehow have a habit of accidentally ‘spotting’ people.

But, as we all know it, it isn’t official until it’s Instagram official – which the couple made it this week.

Posting on her private Instagram account, Luxa is pictured with Nation and her son, Elijah.

Yesterday, following the overwhelming YES vote in the same-sex marriage postal survey, Nation posted a sweet tribute to her girlfriend.

The now radio presenter wrote, "Everywhere around the country, voices of the oppressed rang true. They were not silenced and love prevailed."

Yesterday, Nation wrote in an essay for Kidspot that her relationship with Luxa initially confused her.

"A woman caught me by surprise, out of nowhere. Initially, I was confused, scared even. I’m not anymore," she said.

"With this, I found strength, love and courage to be me. Mentally, emotionally and sexually. In fact, it’s been one of the most empowering things I have ever done."
