Hollywood has just given us an elopement and a baby.

Hollywood felt more than generous this week, giving us both an elopement and a baby in the space of days.

Amanda Seyfried’s fiancé Thomas Sadoski revealed on The Late Late Show With James Corden the couple had eloped on March 12, after announcing their engagement last September.

“We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing,” Sadoski, 40, told the audience, holding up his hand to show off his wedding band.

"She's the person I love, admire, respect most in the world."

He went on to explain the wedding had only one guest: their dog.

"It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other," he said.

"You take the dog and you walk through the country and you go home, and you have your life… We went out to dinner, we did great. It was awesome. We had a great day. It was perfect."

In equally happy news, French actress Marion Cotillard has given birth to a daughter, her reps told People.

Cotillard and her longtime boyfriend Guillaume Canet already have a five-year-old son, Marcel, but the newborn's name is yet to be announced.

The 41-year-old revealed she was expecting a baby in September last year when she felt inclined to comment on increasing and overwhelming speculation that she was involved in Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's split.

"This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into. I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

"Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.

"Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn't distressing. And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery."
