Mamamia's Share Your Space series asks everyday women to share all the juicy, specific details about their homes. How much do you pay in rent? Who do you live with? Where did you get your furniture? It's pulling back the curtain on real estate in Australia, and allowing us to really see how the people around us live.

In this episode of Share Your Space, Mamamia joins Jessica Kostiw to show us inside her new nursery.

Age: 30.

Job: Content creator.

I live with: Myself, my partner and our four (almost five) beautiful kids – the oldest is 10, then an eight-year-old, seven-year-old, one-year-old and another son on the way.

Location: I live in Melbourne, in our new home we finished renovating about two years ago.

Lifestyle: I create content that fits in between my kids' schedules and family life, which works well for us. I love that we're close to the city, but not too close. We've got the beach nearby and some really nice parks. We've created a really good space for our family.

So, take us inside the nursery!

"We wanted the nursery to match the aesthetic of the rest of the house, which is very much white and wood. For our coming son's nursery, we wanted a space that is mostly neutral and calming and then a few little touches of fun and colour," Jessica says to Mamamia.

To get everything they were after, Jessica headed over to Amart – embracing their new stylish and affordable nursery furniture range. And, as a first-stop shop for expecting parents, Jessica says it felt great to create a dream nursery that is filled with quality pieces.

Now with everything organised months in advance, Jessica says it's been a great process to pick out all the pieces and create a special environment for her new baby.

"I'm really excited about this pregnancy and it's been such a beautiful journey to put this space together," she says. "We can mix and match so many of these pieces over the newborn and toddler period."

Over the years, Jessica has never had a feeding chair in a nursery. Now, to have one this time around, specifically the Samuel Nursery Chair and Ottoman, is amazing. And, a good investment too.

"It's so nice and comfy. The feeding chair is this beautiful light grey colour, and it comes with an ottoman as well which has hidden storage inside. It's great because the more storage the better, I can put all the extra blankets, sheets and stuffed toys in there," Jessica says.

"Having a nice feeding chair in the nursery is perfect for in the middle of the night – I no longer need to go downstairs to the couch. I can feed in a space that is nice, calm and soothing with a changing table right nearby."

Extra storage in Jessica's nursery is in the form of the Evalyn Tall Chest.

"This piece fits in so beautifully with our house's colour scheme," Jessica says. "Plus, it fits plenty of gorgeous little outfits."

"The Camlet 3 Tier Change Table with Change Pad is also the ideal size," says Jessica. "Plus, the polka dot pattern on the Waterproof Change Pad Cover is gorgeous too."

"I definitely wanted a change table this time around because I never had a change table with my older kids. I'd just change them on the floor or couch. So, this Amart change table was a non-negotiable addition."

The pièce de résistance in the nursery is the fabulous Mahalia Cot.

As Jessica said to Mamamia, the materials used for the cot are next-level, so she feels at ease to know her baby's cot – and future toddler bed – is top-notch quality.

"It's great that it's affordable, but the quality remains brilliant. I know he will be safe in there, and when I put him down I don't have to worry all night. We love the wood as well, it's easy to clean and will last for quite some time, so he can grow into it."

Jessica opted for the Dream Elegance Jamie Innerspring Breathable Cot Mattress. With innerspring technology and a breathable polyester outer layer, the mattress ensures perfect cushioning for her little one.

And of course, she couldn't go past the Perago Baby Jersey Cot Fitted Sheet, because the pattern is simply adorable. As Jessica said: "The colour palette is brilliant because it's got that timeless feel and then you can inject a bit of personality in the extra details."

"Plus, with their soft Cot Cellular Blanket and Giraffe Security Blanket, the cot area is exactly what I'd hoped for. And, that giraffe will definitely be their special little toy."

Additional pieces include a bunch of mementoes like a little lamb bear that used to belong to one of Jessica's older kids, funky posters and an assortment of cute books.

Jessica and her partner plan for this to be their last baby, rounding up their family to five fabulous kids. So, given this is the last nursery, Jessica wanted to make it extra special.

With a few months to go before their baby boy arrives, Jessica is excited to see her son in the new nursery for the first time.

"I've been fortunate to have a wonderful pregnancy so far. The whole family is looking forward to it, and they all love the new nursery too," she says.

"Although being a mum can have its challenges, it all feels worth it for those special parenting moments and adventures."
