Celebrities are sharing their most awkward teen photos for a very good cause.

For most of us, our teenage years were full of acne, braces and cringe-worthy moments.

And thankfully it seems like even celebrities couldn’t avoid that awkward stage. Celebs like Reese Witherspoon, Jimmy Fallon and Lena Dunham have shared their most awkward puberty snaps on social media to raise money for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico.

The trend started when Nick Kroll asked Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show, to post his most awkward photo on Twitter.

The idea was inspired by Kroll’s Netflix comedy special which explores the horrors of puberty.

“Nick Kroll asked me to post a pic of my awkward stage, but I never had one. So here’s me lookin’ cool as hell!” Colbert posted on Twitter.

Other celebs then followed suit and the result was a bunch of adorably cringe-worthy photos that definitely make us mere mortals feel a little bit better about our own awkward stage.

Colbert promised to donate $1000 to Puerto Rico relief efforts every time a celebrity shared an awkward photo on social media and used the hashtags #PuberMe and #PuertoRicoRelief.

“I want you celebrities to step up and tweet those photos. I want to see bowl cuts, I want to see brace faces, a constellation of acne across your T-zone,” Colbert said.
