Chrissie Swan: "Maybe I want to be a stay-at-home mum".

Chrissiw Swan’s post-radio life sounds… kind-of awesome.

Remember late last year, when fabulous woman Chrissie Swan unceremoniously lost her radio job?

News that Chrissie had been axed from Mix 101.1 was everywhere before even Chrissie herself knew about it.

The 41-year-old became the co-host of the 3PM Pick-Up show in 2011 and then the Breakfast show in 2012 along with former Neighbours star, Jane Hall, before being cut last November.

Now, as you’ve probably noticed, Chrissie is on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.  Last night, she told TV nice guy Andrew Daddo about her plans now that she’s off the radio.

“I’m looking forward to this year — especially now I’m out of contract,” Chrissie said.

Andrew, trying his best at a comforting line, replied, “You’ll be right”.

“Yeah I know. I really do. I really will be all right. Really, I’m not losing anything … I’m gaining so much,” Chrissie said.

Chrissie said the past few weeks in the jungle had been a ‘little reality check’ for her on ‘what really matters’. During this weird intimate little jungle chat between famouses, she said:

“I work and then at 11:30 I come home and I get rid of the babysitter. So it’s just me and my kids — which is how I want it to be. But then I’m working 4:30 till 11 at night.”

Now that she’s got a bit more free time, Chrissie says she just wants to ‘enjoy herself a bit more’.

“I know work … I’ll always be fine for work. And also I want to work. But I don’t … I also want to be a stay at home mum.”

(Love you, Chris)
