Donald Trump is being sued by a former 'The Apprentice' contestant.

United States President-elect Donald Trump is being sued f0r defamation by a former contestant of his reality television show The Apprentice.

In the lead-up to the US election, 41-year-old Summer Zervos said that Trump sexually assaulted her in 2007 during meetings following her time on The Apprentice. Trump denied her claims.

“On November 11th 2016, I called upon Mr Trump to retract his statements about me, calling me a liar,” Zervos said in a press conference today. “I also called upon him to state that what I said about his behaviour towards me was true.

“More than two months has gone by and he has not issued that retraction.

“I wanted to give Mr Trump the opportunity to retract his false statements about me and the other women who came forward.

“Since Mr Trump has not issued a retraction, as I requested, he has therefore left me with no alternative other than to sue him to vindicate my reputation.”
