You know the girls who dream up their wedding day years, maybe decades, before getting engaged? The ones who have their Pinterest board ready, and their dress picked out?
I love those girls, but I was never one of them.
I've been with my partner (sorry, fiancé) for seven years now, and although, I'm beyond thrilled to be marrying him, we want our day to be more of a party than anything – a celebration with our closest friends and family, where we just happen to tie the knot.

For that reason, I've known from the minute we got engaged that I wouldn't be wearing a dress from a bridal boutique. Although I admire them, those ball gown-esque dresses just aren't me.
Instead, I'm looking at online retailers and checking the colour filter to 'white', scrolling through mini dresses, midi dresses and maxis – some that look distinctly bridal and others that don't.
Throughout my searches, I've come across a bunch of Australian and international designers making bridal dresses that you won't find in a boutique.
