Jamie Dornan's wife Amelia Warner has never seen the Fifty Shades films.

The wife of Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan says she is yet to watch a film from the highly-publicised franchise.

Amelia Warner, a well-known British musician in her own right, has told The Independent she hasn’t watched either of the movies her husband has starred in because of the graphic scenes.

“I haven’t seen them but it’s not to say I won’t,” she said in an interview with the news outlet.

It’s not the first time either of the duo have referenced the awkward nature of being married to the star of a film characterised by its erotic scenes.

In 2015, while at the London premiere of the first Fifty Shades film, Dornan admitted that despite appearing on the red carpet with him and offering her support at the premieres, Warner wasn’t interested in “watch[ing] him in action.”

Talking to USA Today at the time, Dornan said: "She doesn't want to watch this. She wants to support me and my work. I won't be able to sit there myself.

“I am not going to put any pressure on her either way. It's her decision. She's well aware that it's pretend, but it's probably not that comfortable to watch."

More recently, Dornan told The Jonathan Ross Show there was no reason his wife needed to watch him in action.

"She hasn't watched it," he said. "Why would she watch it?"

Dornan isn't the only star of the franchise to shield those closest from the graphic sex scenes, with co-star Dakota Johnson telling Glamour magazine, she didn't feel comfortable about her family watching the film.

"I don't want my family to see [the movie], because it's inappropriate. Or my brothers' friends, who I grew up with. I think they'd be like, "Blegh." Also there's part of me that's like, I don't want anyone to see this movie. Just kidding."

Dornan and Warner, who married in 2013 after meeting in 2009, have two children together, Duclue, 3, and Elva, 1.
