Jennifer Lopez released a snippet of her new album's movie. Of course, we've recapped it.

Jennifer Lopez's ninth studio album will come with a special treat: a corresponding short film released by Amazon Video.

This Is Me… Now will be the Latin pop icon's first studio album in nearly a decade and the sister album to her 2002 album, This Is Me... Then. The album's movie version will feature a "highly entertaining musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinised love life".

Most importantly, the short film is written by Lopez and... her on/off boyfriend, current husband and eternal sad man, Ben Affleck.

Yep. This means the collab is the first time Lopez and Affleck have joined creative forces since 2002 music video 'Jenny From The Block' and 2003 film Gigli.

This is a moment for celebration. It's turkey time!

And more good news is that J-Lo has shared a trailer for the movie – and it's everything we could have dreamed of and so much more.

Watch the full trailer here. And you best believe we're going to talk about it below the video.

Video via Amazon Prime.

The video begins in a darkened room, in a sky-high building, as Jenny sits in front of a particularly large fire. Like, that fire is simply too big and must be a potential fire hazard for an apartment at presumably the top floor of a packed building.

Think of the poor people living below you, Jennifer!

Weird lights are hung from the ceiling, which at first I thought were live fireworks and I became deathly afraid and/or thought I was hallucinating.

Then Jenny talks.

What does Jenny say?

Jenny says, "When someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always... in love."

Okay.

This is a puzzling thing to say, Jenny.

Do you expect us humble viewers to believe that when you were a young girl (aka Jenny living on the Block) that when a teacher asked the class, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", little Gracie said "a doctor" and little Thomas said "a fireman", and at least 15 kids said "a marine biologist"... you replied, "In love"?

Bit creepy, hey.

If this is true, little Jenny needs to reassess her life aspirations.

But anyways, in love she is: with Ben Affleck. The entire video and (presumably album) appear to be about finding love with Ben, which is an interesting take on doing a visual album.

This isn't Prince's self-love masterpiece Purple Rain or Beyonce's celebration of black womanhood Lemonade; this is simply a visual album about Jenny falling in love with her Benny.

In another scene, she is reading a letter dated December 24, 2002, which happened to be a month after Jen and Ben got engaged the first time.

The letter reads:

"Life's tough but you're sweet. Thanks for the gift. Hope you like the flowers. You told me you could never have enough. I believe you."

This letter is confusing nonsense so J-Lo promptly burns it.

Then a hummingbird appears at the window. Because, of course.

This is unrealistic because hummingbirds aren't nocturnal and in fact, they generally sleep under shelter at night, rather than freaking out in the rain and banging their heads again windows (even J-Lo's) in the dark.

GET BACK, DEMONIC BIRD FROM HELL!

This hummingbird is making Ben's gigantic phoenix tattoo look cute.

The trailer then jumps into a montage of what to expect from the movie as "HEAR IT, SEE IT, LIVE IT" blasts across the screen.

It's a lot to take in.

But above all, Jenny is having fun! And fun is what Jenny deserves.
