Kate brought loom bands to the UK, and now you can have them thanks to her parents.
Carole and Michael Middleton have decided to cash in on the trend their daughter, the Duchess of Cambridge, started in the UK. While the rest of the world has long known about loom bands, it was only last week that loom bands took off in the UK when a photo of Kate wearing one while in New Zealand hit the front pages.
The Middleton parents have begun selling a similar product for £2.99 each. Loom band sales are up 300% since Kate was spotted wearing one.
On other Kate news, the Duchess of Cambridge visited a London primary school yesterday in a shocking salmon pink dress by Goat. When she got there, she headed straight over to the primary school children anxiously waiting for her arrival. She even pulled off an elegant kneel in the dress and heels.
The Daily Mail reports that Kate asked them what their favourite part of school was and a 4-year-old said "lunchtime" which made Kate smile. Kate also got the thumbs up from the children on her dress choice with Seyi, 6, saying "I said it was because she has come to Blessed Sacrament school. I said I liked her dress" and Abigail, 7, said "She looks good in pink."
Kate launched the M-PACT Plus program with comedian John Bishop when she was pregnant with Prince George in 2013 and visited the primary school to meet those who benefit from the program and to hear the program's progress.
During the visit, Comedian John Bishop gave a speech and reportedly had Kate in stitches. The comedian asked the media to not focus on the "style icon" in the room. And then joked, "Basically, don't make the story about me."
As Kate left she was presented with an art work from a student. The painting was Picasso inspired of Kate holding Prince George.
