Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child, Prince Louis, was christened in front of friends and family on Monday – but Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip weren’t two of them.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh had decided not to attend their great-grandson’s christening. A decision that Buckingham Palace says was made some time ago and agreed to by Prince William and Kate.
The 92-year-old monarch has a busy week ahead, marked by a visit from US President Donald Trump in Windsor on Friday.

I think it's appalling that the Queen and Prince Phillip didn't attend their great grandson's christening.
They’re 97 and 92!!! They can attend or not attend anything they damn well please from here out! Hold the judgement until you’re their age! They’ve showed up to their kids stuff, they’ve showed up to their kids kids stuff. Give them a break and respect your elders! If they need a sleep in let’s respect that.
If Kate and William are ok with it, who cares? As you say, they’re in their nineties. If I make it to that age, I shall be doing as I please too!
YES!!
