This is one post-pregnancy fad that we're a little unsure about...

What did you do when you knew your baby making days were up?

Maybe had a bottle of champagne to celebrate what you’d achieved and toasted the knowledge you’d never have to change another stinky nappy again. Or perhaps you were a little sad, and, while holding onto the knowledge that this little one would be your last, cherished them all the more.

Or perhaps you went out and got a GIANT tattoo that covered your whole belly.

Say what now?

Post-baby tattoos aren’t actually that unusual and more and more mothers are embracing them. Whether it be to commemorate the closure of your baby making bits, or just to act as a disincentive (pregnancy would make a mockery of those pretty intricate ink roses), post-pregnancy tatts is now a booming industry.

Bethany Ramos writes over at Mommyish that:

For my Christmas present, my husband is paying for my stomach tatt, per my request—which means that I definitely, for sure can’t get pregnant again, or else my awesome tatt will look all stretchy and unsightly. I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, and I decided that I’m going to get my sons’ names across the side of my stomach, written together all in one line in an attractive little font: “elliottliamjonahreed” (Elliott Liam, Jonah Reed)

Take a look through this gallery of mothers who have inked after (and sometimes between!) pregnancies.

…. And tell us. Would you?
