First time mum at 40 and I don’t understand the expectations around grandparents helping, regardless of age. Most I know are still working or are travelling or doing other things to enjoy their retirement. If they want to help that’s great but the expectation that they will is a bit gross.
I worked for a company with a colleague whose much awaited baby was still born. They honoured her maternity leave, arranged meals and offered counselling. Honestly a rare company that valued its people over numbers. It’s horrible that so many have a different experience

@mamamia-user-482898552 the forums should have a responsibility to moderate and remove comments that cross a line. I’ve seen some vile threads and the level of obsession/hatred is horrifying. I’m not a big fan of influencer culture but doxing someone, threatening their safety and spitting vitriol behind the shelter of anonymity is something that shouldn’t be encouraged
@rush agree, I’ve seen some of the content too and it’s absolutely revolting. What’s gross too is that it made it through a process with other people too in order to get published. Apparently they were all ok with it.
I think it’s pretty firmly established at this point that MAFS is problematic in many areas. They don’t address the behaviours and it normalises it for viewers. Vote with your remote
