Hi!

I am actually living in Germany. I have a three year old that goes to Kindergarden. We pay nothing for it in Germany as this is normal here. You just pay for food when the child is three years old (40€ a month) My daughter is one. She also goes to kindergarden with her brother. Just a different group for smaller children. We pay 227€ per month + 40€ for food. Both go there 5 days a week for 8 hours.

The fee is calculated by the income. We have rather high income and pay the highest rate possible. Some family’s don’t pay anything for childcare. Other funfact: every child in Germany has the right for childcare. If you don’t get a place for your child close to where you live you just sue the government and get paid everything you lose in income.
